The Gascoigne Gazette
Privacy
This is the private invitation site for Luke & Elexsy's wedding on 10 April 2027. It is only for invited guests. Here is, in plain words, what it keeps and why.
What we collect
- Your name and cell number. You sign in with the cell number your invitation was sent to. We check it against the guest list so only invited guests get in. We use it for nothing else.
- Your RSVP. Whether you are coming, the names of the people attending and any dietary needs. It is emailed to the couple and also saved in a file on the site's server so they have a record.
- Photos and videos you upload. They are saved in a folder in the couple's Google Drive, together with the name you signed in with.
- A sign-in cookie. It keeps you signed in on your phone or computer. It is not used for tracking or advertising.
Google Drive
The site connects to the couple's Google Drive using Google's drive.file permission.
That permission only lets the site work with the files and folders it creates itself, such as the
"Wedding uploads" folder. It cannot see or open anything else in that Google account.
The site does not read your Google account: you never sign in to Google to use it.
Who sees it
Only the couple and the people helping them run the site. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else, other than the services that carry it for us: email (for the RSVP), Google Drive (for uploads) and the web host.
Removing your data
You can ask us to delete your RSVP, your uploads or anything else we hold about you. Please contact the couple (Luke & Elexsy) and we will remove it.
